When is dinner? ;)

Going thru Bakers Creek rare seed catalog and plotting my garden. I'm ready to order and start planting. I miss running out and picking what I need for supper. I informed my husband that I'm going to pick the seeds and diagram the garden this year to utilize our space best and include more varieties of veggies.

I was checking my frozen bone bags today. I usually get my largest crockpots out and do a crock each of beef and chicken broth.

I just got that seed catalog for the first time this year. It was both beautiful and informative. And I love the staff pictures! Nice to see a company with a sense of humor.

And for whomever asked, there were 3 chickens at the farm show in the mini petting zoo. Three silkies and a turkey, not sure of the variety, but I think it was black and white mottled. Also alpacas, sheep, pigs etc. in the petting zoo.

Okay guys, here is my first YouTube video. My Mama hen get SO excited when she sees me bringing her a scrambled egg. I had to film it, because her noises are so funny. Some of you experienced keepers may think I'm loony, but I'm okay with that. ;)

Not much going on in the chicken world around here, but the bunny world is hopping,, on my way to the barn to turn 5 young doe's into future mommy's..:bun

That is the start of a big pot of beef bone broth, it will stay on the stove on a low simmer till sometime Monday morning...I used to make it on the wood stove but we no longer burn wood..
awesome...been thinking about "bone-broth"...can this be done in a slow cooker?...or I should ask, have you ever made this in a slow cooker?
Have been reading about the benefits eating this..has to have a LOT of gelatin(natural) in it..just thinking out loud..

@wingstone If the jerk neighbors would quit calling every agency they can think of to try to cause me problems then we would be doing much better. So far, 1 particular neighbor has called: children's services, the sheriff, the game warden, the health department, 2 food pantries (that was actually helpful), the county trustees, & the building permit department. Imma bout to go postal on the witch!
I am going to say something here, without getting too involved and this is just my opinion/ thought.

....have you tried talking/explaining your situation to her?...maybe, if they knew that you where doing your best and things will get situated/organised in due time & that they have nothing to "worry" about from you & yours..maybe that might help....if permits are an issue..maybe by explaining all of this they may be wavered or even .. with the understand that you may stay in-place, but when you have the $$, just pay for the permits that were-needed for all of this...

Hey, we have had some minor to absolutely MAJOR issues with some individuals while living here the past 17 years...since being back (last 2 years), we have handled things/issues a bit differently(we are different now) & as we are not best friends, we have a better "understanding & respect" for each other now...and that is really all that is truly needed ..most of the time...
this is all just my opinion and thoughts on things, take it with as much salt as needed, just trying to help you out as I can from here. Again, sorry you are having so many issues from so many sides, I truly hope things level out & you and your family may relax and enjoy just being.
