BCM's make for some very impressive roos. Welsummers do too. Rhodebars and New Hampshires are the most naturally friendly, though some of the legbars are just as friendly now.
My 2 breeder Rhodebar roos were babied as chicks and got very tame. They live together in harmony and have never been aggressive, though they have the bulk to inflict some pain if they did. Even when I was catching and medicating their hens, they got a bit alarmed but that was all. I get a lot of eggs from that pen, regardless of weather. I've always been impressed by their laying abilities.
I agree that BCM's are very impressive boys. They get rather big too and so far, from my experience with them, they seem to be very attentive to their flock duties.
