Thanks but I don't breed blacks yet I didn't know if u breed splash
I may possibly have a blue Silkie rooster which means when bred to another blue or splash he would father some splash silkies. If that would interest you please tell me. Otherwise, if you find anyone who wants a black rooster please direct them to my ad.
Is there blood in their poop? Even without any blood, I would start Corid immediately, since coçci is number one killer of chicks and Corid is safe to use. I'm a newbie myself, so hopefully some experts will help you on other possible reasons and treatments.
No blood, actually poop is normal. I think it might have been dehydration and then giving them water kind of sent them into shock. It was horrible to watch. We got a regular waterer now instead of the nipple waterer. They used nipple waterers straight from the store so we didn't think they would have a problem with them. Unfortunately, I think they did.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but if anyone feels that they have the flu, be sure to treat it seriously. About an hour ago, my otherwise healthy brother-in-law died from the flu. The same one that was going to move to a farm in two months and take a flock of my chicks and ducks.
He was about 49, my sister just turned 40. The boys are 13, and 10. My niece is nine. Edited by MotorcycleChick - 4/10/16 at 11:47am
