Lol, your mind goes right to to the broodies. Mine will too for my next coop!
My broody is on 14 or so of her fertile eggs. Today I found one rotten one that had burst! Ew!
. I tried to gently wipe the others off as best u could and I put them back under Momma. I candled the rest tonight, and they all are developing well.

You'll get to it when you can. My broody's eggs are developing well. My husband wanted to regime the chickens early, but I told him I won't be the cause of a chicken miscarriage by moving and disrupting my broody. So we are waiting another 10 days until she hatches the eggs out to move the whole troop.

They do learn to explore quickly! Make sure to p some kind of weight on the screen, or else it won't hold them for long!
