I just watched a hawk make an attempt on my flock. I was watching out the window, heard the alarm, saw everyone scatter and watched it swoop. I could've sworn that it grabbed a hold of one of my lavender ameraucana girls but it had to have just missed. None of the girls were hurt and I didn't see a single feather where it happened. I went running out there as fast as I could and saw it take off though the woods empty handed. Close call!

I don’t know what happened, but a pullet went missing during the day two days ago. I hoped she just jumped into a neighbor’s coop in the evening, but they likely would have let her out by now.
Poor Mariah Carey.

Aww, I'm sorry :( Is it possible that she started laying somewhere hidden and decided to go broody?
