Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Thank you for the recommendation. Added to the list of areas to check out. Never thought it would be this tricky! And the cost of living is much less where you live, especially property taxes.

Another place you could look is around Patton, Carroltown, Hastings, and Chest Springs, PA. The towns are all very small and just outside of them is all considered agricultural. There's numerous farms and you can have chickens. I'm not sure about actually IN town. The cost of living isn't bad at all and the school here is absolutely amazing (if that's something you're looking in to).

Where is says "Home" is Patton.

Dragon walked slow and were not interested in mealworms, and she wouldn’t let me touch her. I believed something wrong with her. So I checked her after they went to roost. Her crop feels squishy when everybody else’s crop is hard. Sour crop? What’s the best treatment?

Personally, I force vomit but it's very risky as they can aspirate. I feel that it helps to clear the issue faster though. I would at the very least, aspirate her with no food, only water and monitor her for a day or so to see if it clears.

I just went to massage her crop and give her some yogurt. She wouldn’t eat though, I just put some on her beak. Tomorrow, I can put her in the cage with only water and little plain yogurt. Both little ones roost with the big girls now, so they don’t need the cage anymore.

This morning, dragon’s crop was empty and she seemed better. But I still put her in the cage. Then she...laid a green egg! She was the chick without a clear triangle on her head, so I thought she is a legbar. So she is the Oliver egger instead. Maybe she just acted weird because she didn’t feel good with the first egg. I let her out, and she acted and ate normal. Her crop is normal tonight. I’ll keep an eye on her.

Anyone interested in some Bourbon Red turkey poults? I have 6 that just hatched and no room for them. 2 eggs haven’t hatched yet, maybe tonight or tomorrow. They are healthy and eager to get out of the incubator! One or 2 might be 1/2 Spanish Black, I’m not sure (a friend gave them to me). They’re listed on Craigslist for $10 each, but I wouldn’t turn down a reasonable offer because I truly can’t keep them.❤

I’ll post pictures once I take them out of the incubator.

*Edit: 1 of the remaining 2 eggs was broken open by the poults, confirmed dead. Lots of unabsorbed yolk, dead maybe 2 days. 1 still unhatched.
