It's a delicious 18* and dropping like a rock.

I have a bunch of birds in the basement that haven't had a chance to acclimate and a mother-in-law coming Wednesday!

NOT good...

Have any of you heard of the pitbull "Braveheart" that was dumped at the shelter recently?  Emaciated and half frozen, he was not expected to live. Apparently, he came to our clinic last weekend while I was off. A coworker took some pictures, and I am always so astounded at how thin a dog can be, and still be alive and standing. He is a gorgous fawn, and incredibly sweet. He did well and is back at the shelter now, but I am in awe that some people can allow an animal to get into that state to begin with. At least he will have a happy ending, no thanks to his former owners  somad

Kansaseq - are your Turverans (sp) good with the poultry?  I love the breed but do not know anyone that has them that also has poultry.

No, my Tervuren are not good with my birds, but then, they were not raised with them. Might be a different story if  you exposed them from a young age.

Just saw this on Wichita Craiglist.  Change the swinging door to a pop door and it would make a nice little chicken coop....
