Lots of people are looking for chicks but not what I have already to go. Drat!! I wish I could depend on everything to lay all the time.
I sold a pair of peafowl while ago. That is a couple more down.
I sat goose eggs while ago and had 8 that cracked from freezing in the last couple days. I've even been getting out early to get them. I did check the cracked one and one was a double yolker and about half of them showed fertile. At least the dogs and chickens enjoyed eating some really big eggs. I have about a dozen duck eggs but they are all coated in mud. Not sure what I can do about that. I have a tray of eggs hatching today as well. Seems to be a never ending process this time of year.
I've got so much to do but it would be a great day to butcher my extra drakes. I guess it can wait until another warmer day unless I find some time some where.
Yesterday I was working on a project and had a board move too fast and gouged a huge hole out of my finger. I could have used stitches but it took skin and meat both. It's on my right index finger which I am learning is the one I use the most. Drat!
