Just candled eggs on day 10. 13 of 23 Pita eggs developing Neal brought me 8 delaware eggs and 5 silkie eggs. well only one of each was clear. the funny thing about that is Neal has a silkie he calls Tranny because she started out laying eggs then started crowing and now mates the remaining silkie hen after the original male died. We werent sure the eggs would be fertile but they seem to be. (the other male died long enough ago to not be left over) Its one of the weirdest things. We wonder if this girl was intersexed rather than fully male. It doesnt lay any more. But he definitely was getting 2 eggs on some days.
Has anyone heard of anything like this?
