Thanks Daniel,

Have you ever seen the chickens scratch up a fire ant nest/mound when they free range? I have been looking in the forum for info on fire ants but did not come across any info. We have been at war with those ants for years and I guess if I free range the chickens I won't be able to broadcast poison like I have in the past. I use melathion in the garden for the stink bugs and other sucking bugs but I would like to get away from poison all together and was hoping the chicken would help.

I got up this morning and turned on the local news like I always do to see the weather. I was shocked to see that the nw part of the state is under an ice storm warning! What the heck is up with that????? Anyway, for all of you in that area, I hope it misses you.
