I do hope you decide to post pictures once you get your incubator. Sorry I can't suggest any models as I do not have any incubating experience.

OK here is my 2 cents, I have worked in and been very involved in the auto body and used car business. No matter if you find your car or not the accident lowers the value of your car, as far as I am concerned the at fault insurance company should include as payment an estimated amount that the car will lose if it is sold in any claim. About a year ago I purchased a Dodge Durango no "KNOWN" repair work whatever there were two large spots that had had at the very least been repainted in my eyes that lowered the amount I was willing to pay for the vehicle as the end value would be lowered after talking to the salesperson and not hearing what I liked I spoke with the manager and showed him the areasi ended up paying 2000 less then their asking price 1000 for me not being willing to pay posted price in good condition and then the 1000 for the damage I realize that they still made money but not as much as if it had not had damage, and it is very hard to impossible to do such a good job that a good eye will not catch it.

PS Have a great time with your incubator and make sure to post pics of it and chicks when the times come.

jeaucamom,

Sounds like all your good deeds, helping the homeless, actually 'paid you forward'.

I think it's a wonderful story and what better way would a chook crazy person want to celebrate

I have a 22 year old son that is at a 5 year old reasoning and understanding level. We just recieved his evaluation for adult assistance from the Burke center here in Texas. He hopes to get some work outside the home to occupy his time and feel like he is contributing. He understands right from wrong and is aware of what is going on around him. If he were not physically handicapped I think he could do the job of a cart guy at the Grocery store. And he would feel terrible if he harmed someones car in the process. It does not mean that he should be exempt from having a repremand if he did so. When businesses hire the handicapped they know that there may be problems that arise from the employee's problems and make adjustments. However, there are pefectly capable young men and women who handle shopping carts everyday that damage automobiles. Handicapped kids have no monoply on that. If the Store fires or does not hire future handicapped people then it is their decision to do so. From my experience they will reassign a young man or woman to assure there is not additional liability. It does not mean that someone whos car is damaged has to eat the damage because it was caused by a handicapped person. It also does not mean that someone who has recieved compensation for damages has to feel guilty about that or has to answer for their integrity or character because of it. In the end result the damages will be debited from their pocket book, one way or the other.

Now that being said lets get back on the subject of what incubator and which eggs she will purchase with her "ill got means".

Thank you very much,
Randy

Hey Jeacumom,
Happy Holidays! I hope you enjoy your new 'bator. When you hatch some out, if you have extras, let me know - I might want to take some off your hands.

I am resisting all the bad influences on this forum to give in to the desire for an incubator and this whole hatching addiction. Must ..... resist.....
