I'm not saying that rodents aren't around, per se. But when my neighbors had chickens suddenly we were seeing chipmunks and little furry things all over the tops of the walls..... Not so much now that the birds are gone.
Exactly! Chicken feed is apparently addictive to rodents and rabbits.

The humane traps are little boxes that trap the mouse and are reusable. The mouse goes in but can't come out. Too small for the chickens to get messed up in. We can take these traps every other day out into the desert and release them.

We have them everywhere out here and not one of my critters seems to mind them at all. My dogs don't even mind the rabbits and the rabbits are eating the chicken feed up at twice the rate of the chickens! We have started keeping the feed in metal garbage cans tied down with bungee cords. However since the chickens don't mind them a bit they have taken to joining them to feed during the day.

I did not realize what a treasure those mousers were! I hope my old neighbor that made me get rid of my chickens is overrun with mice right now! hahaha!
