Hey Ron! I'm breeding my RIW to my RIR roo and might have some red sexlink chicks this Spring. I'm doing a test drive under the broody silkie to see if the hatchery stock is genetically correct (hens need the silver gene) to produce a sexlink. If they are then we'll be incubating eggs thru Feb, Mar, April.
Awesome!
Keep me posted...

LOL!!!
I've always loved my BOs too.
. I've already decided that we probobly won't keep him. Nikki had rescued him about a month ago from cl but he was causing problems with the bigger roosters ( you oughtta see 'er big roo- he's gorgeous!!!!!) well the second I brought this guy home he tried to fight Lucy and got his butt handed to him. (he's a silkie.. A very "macho" one at that...) he is super loud too... I could probobly et the neighbors to deal with it if he was nice to my girls. Well see how it's going by next week. I think he might be too small to mate with them anyways and I don't see the point of feeding another mouth if I can't get anyhing out of it. Ah well it was nice of Nikki to think of me. He's really nice and good with people. He hangs out in my dining room and doesn't move a muscle. Just perches there and yawns... So content
