I am so frustrated! It seems like every time I am home another bird(s) dies on me! Today my dad found my Easter egger and my silesian swallow pigeon dead. Last weekend I found my modern bantam hen dead, and a few weeks ago we found my other Easter egger dead. There was no trauma and they were all just sort of laying there. The two EEs were from the same coop, but the others were in completely different areas. I'm so upset! I just can't figure out what is going on. Tomorrow my dad and I are going to mend a hole in the wood near the floor of my one coop, but I really don't think the cold is the killer. All of these birds have shelter and roosts and none have shown signs of illness.
The modern game bantam was one of my favorites and the swallow pigeon was so beautiful. I just hate to lose the ones I love! The other two will be replaced, but I had such a hard time finding modern bantams! Now I only have a rooster.
Anyone have any suggestions! I'm so frustrated/upset!
