What a crappy crappy weekend. My German Shepherd pup (ok, 8.5 years old) developed a lump on her foot a few weeks ago. I took her in to the vet this weekend to have it x-rayed and it may be bone cancer
I feel like death just ran its finger up my spine. Tala has been my constant companion for almost 9 years! Its not absolutely cancer, and I am waiting on test results from a biopsy and more expert review of the x-rays, but the initial look at the x-rays does not look good.
Uhg, I dont know how to deal with this. I feel like this huge wave of panic is just below the surface and Im barely holding on to control by my fingernails. What do you do when your best dog friend may die in a few months!? Its not fair, Ive bought her the best food, kept her in shape, had her vaccinations done and do my best to be a responsible pet owner. Why is MY dog going to potentially die due to an insidious disease when all of the irresponsible owners have their dogs for like 15 years!
Its not fair........
