Well, not to interupt this math/social science conversation with the psychcological (my area), but....
Poor little big guy who arrived here last night is scared to death of his new wives.
He has a plan though - he is pretty sure they won't be able to see him if he shoves his head under something. I found him in the run with his head and shoulders under the barn wall to the back of the run - had to pry him out! I checked him again this morning, and he was doing the same thing inbetween some wood in the coop. I opened the door and put him out into the general population. Then, just before work, I checked again - unfortunately I had not latched the door properly, and he escaped.
He was nowhere to be found at first, but later in the day my son found him in the bushes bordering our creek. Son could not catch him then, but I got him a while ago with water and scratch in a cat cage. He is now back with his harem, but is not happy about it.
If he does that thing with his head again, I will try to get a photo - kind of comical and sad at the same time!
