Does anyone know of them? Ordered from them? They are in Hazelton, Iowa.

White Rocks $0.80 st. run only
Buff Orps. $1.30 pullets.......$0.85 st. run

Yep, I ordered from them last year, EXCELLENT service, VERY healthy chicks. I ordered 25 EE pullets, but my dogs killed them all at around 2-3 months of age. I didn't lose a single chick until then though, and they sent 2 extras.

I am ordering from them again in the spring for sure. I called them a few weeks ago and she said prices would be going up from what's quoted, but she didn't know how much, and they will be hatching all breeds starting in March.

They are definitely a "Ma and Pa" type operation, but that's fine with me, I'm all for supporting the little guy, especially when they have healthy birds and good service. Obviously you aren't going to get show quality at those prices, but you will get healthy, servicable birds for laying/eating and that's exaclty what I wanted.

And NO, I don't work for them LOL

Sun Ray is about 25 miles on the gravel from my house in Cedar Falls, through Old Order Amish country. I bought a lot of broilers there in the eighties. Last time I got 6 black sex links day old pullets. She was busy that day and I was a bit short on cash, but she let me slide. Stray dogs got three of them one winter day when me and the dog were napping. Decent place to go buy.

I was driving through town to to a job and stopped in and talked to the like the other guy said deff a mom and pop operation but nice and the older guy knows his stuff and there prices look prety good. Iam going to be getting some from them soon just don't know what kind yet

I have ordered 25 Sun Ray Red Cockerils from Sun Ray. I mailed them a money order for the chicks and shipping. I haven't been able to get back in touch with them since they got my money. ;( Have you hear anything about them since you live so close. The price for the cockerils was $.60 or $.70 cents each, which was why I wanted to try them so much. Anything you can find out would be helpful.
