That is terrible.

Highland Hills Cackleberries home of LF Black/Blue/Splash Ameraucana, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten/Splash Wheaten Ameraucana, Silver Laced Wyandottes, and Mottled Bantam Cochins.  We have an egg flock that consists of English Orpingtons, Black Australorps, Naked Necks, Sumatras, Dark Brahma, EE, Marans, LF Cochin, and Blue Andalusian.  I wouldn't mind some Coronation Sussex, Mottled Java, Appenzeller...

Ugg- the worst of it is they are misleading people to think these Easter Egger chicks will lay eggs like
my pure Amers. It's such a shame people stoop to low levels for money. Thanks gang for the heads up.

Here's the back and forth between me and this "lady" so far:  I was probably WAY more snarky than I would have been had I not been sleep deprived.  And I did not edit for her spelling....

My original text:

Hello.  I was just curious as to why you were misrepresenting your eggs on CL by using a photo that doesn't belong to you & you have to right to use?

Her response:

Wow!  There's no misrepresentation. This is the bread! Who cares where I got the picture? This is what my chickens eggs, and chicks look like.  Don't see how I'm misrepresenting them at all.

My next text:  Because you're using pics that do NOT belong to you!  Ever hear of copyright infringement? And while we're at it, your birds are Easter Eggers, not true Ameraucanas, regardless of what the "breeder" may have told you, which is what leads me to believe your birds don't lay the same color eggs as the photo, if they did why wouldn't you use a pic of your OWN eggs?

Hers:

Those are my eggs!  You want some beautiful chicks that WILL lay blue green eggs.  Come get them.  These are the breed.  What's your problem? Ya board?

Me:

No those are NOT your eggs, I know who that photo belongs to and it is NOT you!  My "problem" as you call it is people who steal other people's photos and try to make a buck off the hard work and years of dedicated breeding of other people.

Her:

Oh. Okay. Well have a good day.

Me:

You too.  Hope you get good sleep at night knowing that you are dishonest person.

BTW, I just went back and flagged her ad.  Using content you do not have the rights to is prohibited under the CL terms of use...

Wow.  That's exactly what some idiot who doesnt have a clue about what kind of chickens they own and who would steal other people's pictures to sell them would say.  What exactly is so hard about taking a picture of your own eggs?
