I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking about you guys being the breeders. I know you all have some beautiful birds.:) I don't know how I could have asked that better...how about; Who did you get your lines from and why did you make that choice?

ep.gif    Those look like the first green eggs I got when my BBS started laying. Are those from the same group we got? They will turn blue....see my avatar. Sadly. the speckles have gone.

As one who has been breeding and showing the WBS variety exclusively, I think I'm pretty safe is saying that you probably couldn't go wrong with any of the established WBS breeders.  Those who are dedicated and committed to the variety know they still need a lot of work and I think we're all pretty much on the same page.

Yes this egg is from my second set of eggs I hatched from Lisa!  It is not near as green as the egg you can see in the carton behind it.  That is from a green egg laying naked neck frizzle.  lol!!!  What a mix!

The egg is so pretty with those turquoise spots. I wish the spots would stay.  I would be happy to have a whole flock that laid the exact same eggs.  big_smile.png

I started by reading here - LOTS, going to shows, and joining the Ameraucana Breeders Club. www.ameraucana.org. They also provide a list of breeders willing to sell eggs, chicks, birds, etc., and a board to ask questions on. Best advice - take your time. Do LOTS of research before you buy so you know what you want and who you are getting it from. There are MANY choices. A lot depends on what you want the birds for and your circumstances.

Have fun!!!
