Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds - Page 1551

I haven't posted on this thread before, I mostly hang out on the Consolidated Kansas thread, but I'm hatching out my first Ameraucana chicks today & I just wanted to share some pics of them. I have 4 hatched out so far & I'm excited about it. Here are some of them:

You can see they were still drying off in this pic, they're getting fluffier now. New Easter chicks, what can get better than that?

Too cute.  Not bad for a seven egg incubator and being misdelivered and lost by the PO!

So I posted this in another thread, but still don't understand the differences between Americaunas and EE's.... sorry for the ignorance.  I have two dark colored, what I was told was Americaunas, and a lighter colored one.  The lighter one looks like it has blueish leg color, and the other two look different.  Could someone please point out a few of the differences of the picture I'm posting.  Thanks, I don't mind if I ended up with EE's, but would like to know what to look out for in the future.  I know a lot of people say Americauna and mean EE.  IMG_0410.jpgIMG_0412.jpg

I love my Buff Brahmas!  There always seems room for more :)

4 Buff hens, 2 light Brahma hens, 1 Rooster, countless chicks, 3 EE's, 6 Buff Laced Brahmas 5 GLB, a flock of silkies........ and more on the way :)

They aren't laying yet, they are only about 3 months old so I can't tell by eggs.  I understand that they are EE's but wondered if someone could point out specifics like wing shape, coloration, etc....
