MORE Vibes..... I have some hatching too.  I have two wheatens out and one actively zipping.   They were shipped to the Eastcoast from the West coast so I am soooo happy some are hatching.   I was so afraid I would not get any of them to hatch.  I started with 13, I think, and at lockdown it was 7.   Come on little chicks.  I want some females and a nice little male too.    Hope everyones hatch for this wk goes well.   Gloria Jean

If I put a broody on bought eggs and add some of her sister's eggs laid here... How many days can I put a freshly laid egg in the clutch and hope it will hatch?

That smacked of a horrible math word problem, didn't it?  (snicker)

I would not put a new egg under her more than a day or two later.  Otherwise the eggs that started developing first will all hatch and the ones you put under her later may get abandoned.  Not that I have hatched eggs with a broody before roll.png  but sometimes when I set eggs and the next day get another egg that I really wanted I will pop it in with the first batch.

I suppose if you have a really devoted momma she will sit those couple extra days and wait for the late ones?
