I have one very dark blue that could probably look black in certain lighting.  

I don't have any splash pics - but here are some blues and blacks.

The comb, it is pretty well defined already.  Most pullets have no comb at that age.

Oh wow, cute baby smile.png  thanks for posting.

 

Now I see why i don't have a splash-LOL!  Very different coloring on my crew.

where can i learn about chicken genetics?  What does the lacing look like?  I did notice the wing feathers on my babies seemed a little thin in spots.  sort of like a barring effect...they are too small to get a good shot of but I will post a pic when i can.

aw lovely chicks!  This really helps because my crew is much like yours.  I think i do have 3 blues and one black.  One of my blues is lighter than the other 2 but wow your light one is almost cream colored...beautiful.  thanks for posting them smile.png

I was reading about this project ....i know christi is working on it. Pretty amazi g! And i learnes so much about genetics just folllowing that thread.

Very welcome - I don't know if their coloring will change as they get older, these are my first Ameracuanas.  But they are super sweet chicks!
