I just put in my first eggs a few days ago and adding a few more in 2 days. I'm hoping both sets produce beautiful birds. If so, I'll become a breeder. If not, I'll keep trying!
I have blue, black and splash hopefully in this bunch. I like the darker colored blue eggs!

This breed is Not easy to find!

Congratulations and best wishes!

I can not wait for these BW/W pullets to hurry up and start laying!  My 8 oldest pullets are about 4-5 months now.  Seven are from my flock and one is from WhiteMountainsRanch.  I am anxious because of my 5 girls, 2 have chicks and one is broody (sitting on dummy eggs).  I am lucky to get an egg every 3 days from the other two.

The babies from the other local breeder are about 4-5wks old now.  Out of the 13 chicks, looks like 11 are pullets.  What were the odds of that?  Hopefully they come out nice.  So far one has pretty crooked toes, so she won't be staying.  I am haven't had much luck with this breeder's birds thus far (only the pullets - yellow legs, crossed beak and the boys' coloring is horrid).  The parent stock is nice... I just don't understand what's happening with her babies (maybe to much inbreeding?).  I was hoping to get a nice wheaten boy from these guys.  If the other 3 boys I have from her is any preview of what I can look forward to... I will have to keep looking.

I also have a single lavender pullet that I decided to keep and put in with my BW/W flock.  Isabels?  ;)

Joining in on the thread....

I have two two week olds that I hatched out the eggs from a breeder, I have a older hen as well that I dearly love. Her personality rocks.

Here are my two and I'm praying that they are girls....

The first 3 pics are at day old the last 4 pictures they are 2 weeks, so you'll have to excuse the blurry pics as they have no desire for a photo shoot...

Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think, if I have two girls or if its to early to tell.

When they first came out there legs were a yellow/beige tint now there slate colored... so I'm unsure if there two purebred Ameracuana or if there a EE, but when I look at the ameracuana breeder page pictures. I see two pictures that identify what type they are...
