What are you baking now? - Page 337

Now that my 2 young hens have started laying, I now have enough eggs to make a big, baked egg custard.  I only have 2% milk but want to make it with whole milk so after a trip to the grocery store tomorrow, guess what I'll be making? clap.gif

Mama to 2 hens and 1 rooster, 4 dogs~~~2 rescued greyhounds from the racetrack, a hound mix and a rat terrier, both strays.  Newest pet addition...4 hermit crabs...bought 4 more....total of 8 now.

Also "Mimi" to 5 grandkids, who keep me busy going to their school soccer, basketball, volleyball games, community and school plays and dance recitals.

I found the red hots at Walmart today. It is in boxes in the 98cent candy section. I have everything I need now and will fire up my juicer and make Apple Cinnamon Jelly tomorrow.

I made a Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp today.

It has been a glorious rainy & grey, lazy day.  My first completely free (unless you count housework) day in at least 2 & 1/2 months!  (No wonder I am so tired.)

It smells delicious, but we're waiting for our Tacos, Spanish Rice & Refried Beans to be ready for dinner.

Happy Earth Day, all!

I have 2 wonderful sons, 3 ducks (2 Anconas & 1 Buff), 4 laying hens, a Holland Lop bunny, and a big scaredy cat.  I am a Chef, Baker, Bluegrass "Musician" (I know, you can't do both) and artisan.

I made the cinnamon Apple Jelly today. It is great! I used a juicer to get the apple juice and I used red delicious and fuji apples (They were already here). My youngest daughter liked it too.

I saw the red hots ah Orchard Supply and Hardware today. It was twice the cost compared to Walmart. The box is six ounces, so you need a box and a quarter to get a cup.

I hope you find the red hots!fl.gif

If you have a Walgreens nearby sometimes they carry candy that other places don't. I found red hots at one and they are about the only ones that still carry Coffee Nips (my favorite candy lol) around here.

I am making some yukon gold potato cinnamon rolls tonite, the recipe is from BonAppetit.com. I made them before and they are awesome! I am making a double batch this time though, it only makes about 12 rolls.

No posts since April? I'm shocked!

I finally found a brownie recipe that's better than a boxed mix. Dark chocolate amazingness.
