This thread was SO helpful. We candled our eggs at 10 days, and it looked like none of them were growing. We were going to blame the incubator... but instead, decided to wait until day 13, and candle them again after viewing this thread.
Well, it turns out that nearly all our eggs are infertile. Apparently our Salmon Faverolle rooster isn't doing his job with his two girls, and the little black hen is too smart to get caught by the silver-laced Barnevelder rooster. So the only hen who is actually getting covered is our Bresse, who's not very smart or fast, but is very sweet and lays GINORMOUS eggs.
We would have wasted much more time figuring out the mystery without your help. Thank you!
