How big of a coop for 15 chickens?

Educate him, show him this thread, then watch his eyeballs pop out when you show him substandard expensive basic coops built ready for purchase.

After all that, show him the Coop section. Folks have built them cheap from recycled materials.

Still a problem? Calculate a vet bill from inadequately housed poultry and the resultant problems.

Lol.... Thanks, that last one would do it lol... He knows it's to small now because I have been showing him this site... Biggest problem right now is him getting the time and money to get supplies to build another one... We hope that , even though it's going to be very crowded right now that the open area run and access to under the coop in bad weather will be ok for a week or so. Our daughter starts school this week and we are hopeing to get my younger son into daycare or k-4 on a program so I can work on it during the days... My husband works 2 full time jobs and has a small side job going right now just to make ends meet... Hense the chickens, 4 for babies, rest for eggs and eventually meat birds... Cuts down on the grocery bill lol... We are going to turn another part of our yard into a garden and produce grains and wheat along with regular veggies... On another note I've been reading that an 8x8 floor plan is best for 10-15 birds... Is this right? If yes do you have any easy plans that will help us out? Perfurably something that does not weigh a ton because I have to help lift this one now onto the stand and a bad ankle does not help things ...
