Aylesbury Ducks

Hi Michie. Thanks for getting back to me. I will contact you next spring for ducklings if you have some you'd like to sell. Hope you have a good summer.
Sylvia

These are my first Aylesbury ducks. I bought them as hatching eggs on Ebay. I bought two sets of Aylesbury eggs from the same buyer but the second set had zero hatches. The first had these two hatch. This picture was taken when they were just short of 8 weeks old. They are about the size of my full-grown ducks of other breeds! And when I moved them to an outdoor pen, I discovered that one was a boy and the other a girl. I named them Freddie and Georgina.

I am hoping next year to get more hatching eggs and also to hatch some out from Freddie and Georgina to build up a small flock. They are such a nice breed, they grow so fast! Would be great for raising some meat ducks.

Yes, I do. They usually lay the most fertile eggs in November and again in the spring. I don't know your location, and I have no experience with shipping eggs, but I would be happy to hook you up if I can! I will definitely be incubating in the spring, but I still haven't decided about doing it over the winter. I would have to set up a brooder for any ducklings, and I am running out of space and enclosures, because I also have chickens, and my bantams keep laying, sitting and hatching! I may use broody bantams to try to hatch some ducklings.

Do you have any Aylesbury ducks for sale now, or do you plan to have any in the future? I would be very interested in buying some, if anyone knows of any breeders who would have some available in the US.
Thanks!
