Ok, I am just sooo happy to be back on here:)
I have been gone and it seems like I haven't talked to any of you in FOREVER! WEll I just wanted to tell you what all happened with my second hatch.
I had 5 of dipsy's eggs due to hatch on a Monday. Two of them came out and then late that afternoon my dd, 5 years, touched the temp dial!?!?!?!? I didn't realize it until it was too late and three fully formed beauties died right before they hatched:-( This was the first time my beautiful Bella has ever even touched the incubator. Completely tragic. Then if that wasn't enough, one of Dipsy's babies was having trouble. Picadilly was my favorite and she was gorgeous and the sweetest chicken I have ever had the honor of knowing. She thought that my husband and I were her mother hen and she loved to be held and cuddled. She was white or was going to end up a splash. She passed away on Christmas eve. I have never cried so hard for a chicken before:-( I think it might have been b/c the other chicks didn't like her and maybe she wasn't getting enough to eat?!?!?!? I don't know. But anyways I have been recovering from all of that and now my goal is to make my babies that I still have like me. They all like hate me or something. :-( We are doing cuddle therapy for now and if that doesn't work I will unleash my 5 year old on them. Thta's not the prettiest thing since she always wants to swing them, so cute though, but she did tame a little banty roo who is just as sweet as can be so....

Awe, sorry to hear your heartbreaking story. Not your fault, though...love on the ones you have, and know that you are blessed to have them! Good luck with the taming!!
