The missing duck is six months old, and had already laid an egg that morning. I keep them in their night pen until about 8-9 am until they have all laid, then let them out. We had been out in the yard with them for most of the day, and were within sight of them when she disappeared. I would never have known anything happened; none of the other ducks made a fuss, or seemed spooked, and did not see/hear a thing.
Unfortunately, she did not show up today, and I kept the other ducks in their pen all day. I kept the chickens locked up also, and only let the guineas out, and one did not come back tonight. The guineas range pretty far, and occasionally stay out all night, so I am not certain something got her, but it is pretty suspicious after the missing duck yesterday.
