Blue Face Hatch question

Thread Starter

The story that I heard, about how the Blue Face Hatch (American Game) got their name, was that the original cock bird would turn blue in the face when he exerted energy.

I wanted to know if this is true and if so, do true Blue Face Hatch do the same thing as well today?

This was just a curiosity of mine so I thought I would try to find out.  Thanks in advance! big_smile

That is the story I herd about them.. If you get a good blue face Hatch today they should do the same thing..  More or less like a turkey..
