I'm trying to thin down and have decided (tentatively) to sell my two quads of d'Uccles. I have one of Porcelain and one of Lavender, all birds are under one year except two Lavender hens. I'd be happy to sell them to the same buyer, if possible. PM me if interested...I'm such a sentimental girl, I'll be very proud of myself if I can do this!

Gave my girl a bath monday night, I plucked her from the flock as I saw blood on her head, took her inside for better to check her out, she was covered in mud on her chest from scratching around but as i washed her, I found blood underneath. After giving her a bath with the safest shampoo I had on hand (My Sons Baby shampoo), I couldn't find the cause of her bleeding, then when I watched her hobble I checked her feet, looks like she lost a nail or broke it and she had laid on it to sleep. The nail is already going back in so it had to been irritating her and she picked at it, no that I have soaked her feet she is no longer bothering with the nail.

I was afraid to wash her head so she isn't completely clean. But her is what she looks like after washing her with baby shampoo. She also lost some beard from all that mud.

And here is a pic of the toe after bathing it and cleaning it up. its her middle toe on the right side, she lost a few feathers on her feet too, **** Oregon Weather!

I have pics of Linus & his mother Portia that I have uploaded but cannot get it to post in a message thread.  :(

:) Pearl is much better and the flock is happier now that she is back with them! My little Roo doesn't make a huge fuss when I take out one of his girls that aren't feeling good, When i bring them back to the flock he gives me a little soft crow and a brush on my arm or leg whatever is closest as if to say thank You! I Love my D'Uccle Chickens They are one of my favorite Breeds!

OK the millefleur d'Uccles got their first day trip outside....Well they hated it!!!! I'm afraid they miss the TV, and they where scared of everything....the wind, a leaf, a crow, other chickens. So tommorrow they will be left out longer til they more use to it!!!! Coop is almost done, just need to do some finally touches and the run needs to be wired over.IMG_0477.JPG

They are Not sure about the sand... so they stayed on the ladder almost the whole time!

Gonna add some planters and paint a few things. Hopefully tomorrow they will explore alittle bit more!!!!

I also have to finish the inside of the coop!!!
