I looked on craigslist and found a week old ad for black, blue, mille fleur, and porcelain d'Uccle pairs and trios. I called and they said that they only had two black hens and a white rooster left. Pictures and a video are below. I couldn't get good pictures of the hens, the white stuff on the hens backs is Sevin dust. I didn't see any bugs on them but I dusted them just in case.

I can't wait either, I got another egg this morning and it looks like the other hen is about to lay an egg to. I'm going to be putting their eggs in my incubator next week. smile.png

I hope nobody has bought eggs from this person on ebay as they clearly do not have d'uccles.  Their last auction had photos pulled from the Internet so I reported it and now they post what their birds really look like- that's terrible practice.

I actually am using my eggs this weekend for my incubator but next weekend I think I have someone lined up.  Have a dozen babies already and another dozen hatching as we speak.  Thanks for asking frow.gif.

Good for you Nate!  They look NOTHING like a real d'uccle.  Just because they have the mille fleur pattern, doesn't make a d'uccle!

Thats so funny, I was looking at that yesterday and asked them too if that was actually their bird. i have seen that pic 100 times on google images. I got a reply from an administrator I think saying it has been removed and reposted with accurate pics

I did purchase blue & black mottled D'uccles form 1234Muki and had a very good hatch rate. they have such feathery little feet and beards right out of the eggs. I wish i could post pics but my work computer will not allow me..he.gif

1234Muki is my favorite Ebay seller! She also has excellent quality Silkies.

I sent an email to the other seller telling them that their birds are definitely not d'Uccles. I got a response back, less than an hour later:

"Thank you for your email. We deal in mostly turkeys and use chickens to warm up our incubators for the year and sell the surplus eggs. We purchased these birds about 2 years ago from a gentleman who used these birds for show. He advised us that they are Mille Fluer, and that there are several varieties of this breed. One is the variety you described, and the other is a clean legged variety with wattles. The rooster in the picture DOES have feathered feet as difficult as it is to see due to the birds being free-range and he wears them off frequently. Our chicks do hatch and develope with feathered feet.
We will do more research about this since your email, however we have sold quite a few of these birds to other breeders who advise of the same information; but we will again look for verification.

Hey my fellow d'uccle lovers...I have a listing under the egg bidding section and have had very little response.

I am willing to take low offers, if you know of anyone that would like some good fertile eggs from good stock (only mille fleur) let me know.  I hate to see my eggs going to waste every week.

I shipped 15 to dsfrango in CT and he reported that every single one was developing!  I pack them extremely well.

Thanks Guys,

Nathan
