I dont usually post over here, but I have a question, that maybe you can help.

I have a Beautiful Gold Neck Booted Bantam, and a White D'uccle hen.  Yesterday 3 chicks hatched.  I am posting a picture, any idea what color they will be?

All of them have beard and muffs, 2 are identical, but one seems a little more golden then the others who are really a light yellow, almost white .

The d'uccle is here only to keep the goldneck company, until I can find him a goldneck.

looks like they might be white and the back a golden color possibly

Okay...I have looked a gazillion pics on here of d'uccle roos so why is it that when it comes to your own you can't seem to figure it out?  Would you say at 5 weeks old these two are roos?  One has a light comb but it's bigger than what I thought a pullet would have.  Thanks!!

Ok, update on my little D'uccle, that I'm guessing everyone is still going to agree is a Roo.  I really really wanted him to be a her!  Ha, like you haven't heard that before.  I got a pretty good pic today.  This is s/he at 4.5 weeks.  I don't see anything under the chin yet, but the comb did grow pretty fast.  The comb hasn't really grown in the last week much, but it seems more pink this week.

That is a rooster.

Well darn.  I will see how his disposition is.  We weren't planning on keeping any roosters.  We already had to give my Marans rooster away ;(
