The one I found here was $64 for a 2010 edition, Bantam Standard was $46: http://www.strombergschickens.com/prod_detail_list/breed-standard-books
If you want a cheaper alternative then Storey's Guide to Poultry Breeds is pretty good, although a few of the pictures (like the Golden Phoenix) are not good representatives of the breed. It is pretty good though, gives a good idea.

Thanks I will have to check this out. I want to try and get just one breed and try to breed them but want to do it right. I like the way my d'uccles are so maybe I will try them.
