I just saw this thread... I have 3 1 year old cochins: 2 buff and 1 partridge. The buffs are loud. They sound like squeak toys. They talk when they're hungry, when they're not getting what they want and when their beaks are full. Basically any time. But they are very sweet and friendly. They are always underfeet... so much so I've stepped on their toes by accident. My husband has dubbed them our California blondes.
The partridge is very quiet. My friend has similar experience as me.
Anyone else have noticed the same?
