Calico Silkie Question

Does anyone know what is the genetic make-up of Calico Silkies? Are they an F1 cross of 2 other colors? Do they breed true? Any other info and pics would be appreciated thanks.

Hatching eggs are no longer avaiable from any breeds until further notice due to predator problems and birds being too old .

You might want to ask Sunshine Silkies (i think thats spelled right) or go to a silkie thread that is already started might give you more info on how to get the calico or which ones to mix to get them. I am just starting to breed silkies we have always had them just not really breed them. We currently have blues, blacks, white, buff, and now some splash colors and a couple of part. I am just know learning which ones to run together to get better shadings of splash and prettier blues. But i don't know if i end up with one i will gladly pass it on.
