OK I've finally found a guy that has Black Javas and I think I would like to get some eggs from him sometime this year. I know Javas, especially the blacks, are exstreamly rare and endangered. Javas are said to be the oldest American heritage breed, and they were used in creating of many of the breeds we have today, like the Barred Rocks, and these newer breeds are sadly taking over the Javas place and popularity on the farm and my goal would be to help get them repopulated, and I want to make sure that I have plenty other people who would be willing to buy eggs and maybe even chicks from me and help me increase their numbers, I would sell them pretty cheap, so more people could afford them. This breed is in desparate need of breeders to help bring it back from the brink of extinction. So who would be willing to help me? I would also have the Mottled variety too, but the blacks are even more rare than the mottleds and both need more breeders. Thanks
