Great news, Diane! congratulations!

Sad news, as our temps climbed up to 106 degrees, I lost my oldest CW Welsummer hen, one young Welsummer and my Coronation Sussex hen that I bought a few days back...the heat took the best of them. They had shades, plenty of water, the run has been soaked the night before but still didn't help. There isn't aything I can do now but hope they will take the heat a bit better.

There will be no relief from the heat for another week. Only rain can help. Only the survivial for the fittest now.

Tell me what you think of our boy. He is 17 weeks old, so he still has some filling out to do. Does his comb look good? (i think it does) eyes? Wattle size? coloring on chest? Anything else? You don't have to hold back. I will not get upset and if he is too young to start critiquing let me know that too.
