High in the sky over NW Kentucky a watchfull eye is kept on the so called "Hairy Legged Horde" who look remarkedly clean shaven in their little christmas ornament costumes.

That can depend... On the individual bird of course and whether or not you value your shoes, they could get flogged by a pound of vicious chicken nugget. LOL I do not have any d'Anvers but have met 4 little d'Anver roos, 1 particularly nasty one, 1 aloof one, 1 nice boy and 1 little love who has little man syndrome towards gallon pitchers. Reality is...even at their nasty worst, they are just little chicken nugget sized so not as dangerous as my 13 lb orp could be.

I recognize those guys...my guard crows attack them all the time. No worries BantamBabes...I feed a huge flock of crows to keep hawks and devil nugget air force units at bay. They are cute as heck though. LOL

I only have 6 d'Anver roos....as of yet...but Woody my quail colored (who's in my profile pic) thinks he's the cock of the walk, he tries to whip me everytime I enter the lot. But the other 5 which consists of 3 crele, 1 Dun Mottled, and 1 Dun Cuckoo, all protect me and run him off. So it just depends on whatever is going on in that little roos head at the time.....That's my theory anyway....wink.png

And yes, I've been lurking in the shadows again just reading and watching. Having fun reading and seeing all the battle troops getting ready and love that head gear. lau.gif

And now for more news from The Red Roost Inn....We are expecting babies to start pipping tomorrow!!!!!  wee.gifcelebrate.gif Can't wait, will keep ya posted!! And yes there will be pics, pics, and more pics. You all know me when I get babies!   big_smile.png

And as requested...wink.png I hope they are all pullets, I asked Aubrey for pullet eggs only, hehehe, already got enough roos, right now it's a 6 to 4 ratio on roos and pullets, soooo, need lots of pullets....fl.gif
