Cole the mille looks like a male for now, still hard to tell

the brown red is a pullet I'm pretty sure based on color alone, the males will start to look like a bb red and have no color on the breast

the porcelain I cant see well enough to even guess.

We had eggs for Black, BB Red, Ginger, Buff Columbian, Mille Fleur and Porcelain.....

Pretty sure this may be a Buff Columbian

d'Anvers 1.jpg

The middle one is Porcelain and the one on the right is Black.  What is the one on the left of the Porcelain?  Is that a MilleFleur?

d'Anvers 2.jpg

And this cutie?

d'Anvers 3.jpg

The one on the back right is a Spangled OEGB but unsure of the d'Anvers?

? Chipmunk and the black

Porcelain,  ? ,  ?  ,  Black,   ?.

d'Anvers 4.jpg

The first one is a columbian. They and the milles are virtually identical seeing how all a mille d'anver is , is a mottled buff any way. Usually the buff columbian are a bit lighter over all then the milles, and the milles tend to have a smokey colored head.

See the second pic, that's a mille for sure to the far left, as is the one on the perch. The blacks are obvious of course.

The bb red is the one eating in the last 2 pics, with the sharp red V on top of the head.

Last pic from left to right is

porcelain, bb red, buff colubian, black, mille fleur

I dont see the gingers right off, they are usually a smokey looking version of the  columbians more less. Mainly grey over tone looking body.

Sure do look fat and healthy, you're being a good mama looks like!

Cole,

The comb base is about all that will tell you anything at this age, and even then it's still just a guess. Only exception would be a few that have different color patterns with the sexes. From what I can tell, looks like the porcelain is getting a big comb base. If that's the case, I'm betting male on it too.

The bb red is a hen for sure, you can see the salmone breast on her already. The brown red based off small comb and laced breast is a girl too. Think the mille and por are males

Is there a Ginger in the 4th photo?  If not, I will have to wait for them to feather in more to determin if any of the Ginger hatched.  Thank you for helping me understand the colors.  These babies are little chow hounds!

birchen is going to dominate the pattern, you'll have recessive lavender and mottled going too. In the long run you could end up with mottled brown red, or lavender versions also
