The above pic is Barney at ~ 2 weeks give or take... then I gave him away, along with 3

other birds, all 4 of them came back roughly 3 weeks later, so I do not have pictures of

him inbetween these 2 stages...

These next pics I took today... we haven't had rain in 5 weeks... my poor yard is so brown.

his colors change nearly every day, he gets a little more chalky yellow... some of the older

chalky yellow areas are a bit darker and the rust color is spreading nicely on his back.

his breast feathers are dark blue

I have a little roo that look like he will grow up to look like yours..... I am keeping him for his colors.  I like colors in my EE.

Here is my new roo...the ameraucana peeps say his colors are off so he is an EE.  Fine with me....I hope that he will make some EE babies with my hens- they are Orps and Ameraucana (B/B/S).  From what I understand breeding a wheaten roo to a b/b/s will create "non-standard" (read really cool lol.png) colors....I sure hope so.

If he was breed as a wheaten and is just off color, when you breed him you will not see the wheaten show.  Wheaten is recessive and 2 copies are needed to show.

I really like him and would use him in a heart beat in my EE pen!
