Post Phoenix Pics Please

I was out cleaning pens today and was staring at my phoenix (as always) and realized that only the light golden and the white are going to be great breeders. The gold is just eh and the light brown has hardened off saddle feathers which are only maybe 6-8". My phoenix pullets are laying which is great, I just don't have any reason to start up the bator yet. If possible, I will get pics soon. I might end up snowed in tomorrow and unable to go to work. If that is the case, I'll post some then

look forward to it.

I was out doing the same and while in the brooder house, I noticed a pair, maybe 7-8 weeks old that finally turn out platinum!! Hope they make it threw the winter, they seem tuff so far. Have been breeding for it this fall with the blues and duns, finally got a couple looks like. They have some duckwing leaking threw in the breast area looks like, but I really dont care, just happy to finally get a few. It's nasty here too, will try to get some pics soon of them just to show the color, even though they are just barely feathered out

I look forward to seeing some platinum phoenix/longtails. I had plans to take pics but we got about 2- 2 1/2' of snow so I had to spend the day digging out pens and all. Maybe tomorrow. I got an egg from every pullet today, really wish I had the bator on because I really want to know how my pyle pullet and the white (possibly pyle) cockerel breed. I want to breed them with golden or lightbrowns to see what they throw.

will get some on here once we get some good weather and all.
And yep, a test breeding will be the only way to tell for sure if it's dom white or something else doing it. My salmon breasted hens still breed recessive

I was out feeding this morning and snagged a few pics of the cockerels. My old phone has a bad camera but you get the point. The golden in the pic (shorter tailed) has a really nice butter colored hackle but it looks washed out here. The lighter male with longer tail is really the only bird with his saddles still in pins, the others have all hardened off.
