I'm with Silkies. We just got sheep last March. We bought a ewe with a ewe lamb at her side, and a pregnant ewe. Then bought a 7 month old ram. Then bought 3 ewe lambs. Then someone needed a home for a Dorper/Blackbelly cross. (I don't think she is that...she's HUGE). Anyway, the pregnant ewe had a ram lamb in April 2014 and we butchered him. Most amazing meat I have ever eaten! Dec 6 and 17, the first 2 ewes we bought lambed...both had singles and they are ewes. Feb 9, the ewe lamb we bought still on her mama lambed, a gorgeous little ram lamb. Feb 12, our freebie girl lambed, 2 little black as night ewe lambs. I might would like some painted deserts or Katahdins for some color, but I am very happy with my Dorpers, and Ginger, our misfit
