What are you reading

Jim, I'm a "nortsider" now, but I grew up in the south suburbs. Nice to meet you!

Midway is a MUCH easier airport to fly in and out of, but since I live so close to O'Hare I rarely do that anymore.

Yes, I have a productive city yard, but one thing I don't get is a clear view of the stars due to all the light pollution.

DH and I vacationed in northern New Mexico a few years ago [if I had my dream life I'd live in northern New Mexico...it's just good for my soul, is all I can say] and the night sky was awesome. One night he said to me, "What's that fuzzy stuff in the sky?" I was stunned: "Why, that's the Milky Way, honey!" DH is 100% city boy and it had been soooo many years since he'd seen the night sky he didn't remember!

I have enjoyed reading what others are reading! I've added some new books to my always growing list of books to read. I currently am re-reading a series by Diana Gabaldon, that starts with The Outlander. It is absolutely fabulous.

Ohhh. I've also been wanting to read 1776. I hear it's fabulous! Please do let us know what you think about it!

The book I'm most curious about right now is Lawrence Mitchell's "Speculation Economy: How Finance Triumphed Over Industry" but I'm not sure I'm in the mood to get into anything that deep at the moment. Still, I LOVE history and the interview I heard with this author made this subject so intriguing.

Sigh. I haven't started anything new since my last book, but the McMurray catalog certainly was fun reading yesterday.

If only I could have more chickens than I have . . .
