I bet he'd make a fine backyard protector for a flock - maybe you can list him on your local Craigslist or bestfarmbuys.com ?  The ones that are super protective are worth their weight, IMO.

He is surely a watch dog/rooster. He lets me know if someone or something is around, and he is almost twice as big as any hawk.

Hey everyone.. I just hatched my first JG.. can you feather sex them or what is the best/earliest way to tell if you might have a male/female?

~2 little girls, 2 large dogs, 2 cats,  a ball python, 4 mixed hens, 1 Dk Brahma, 2 Ameracauna, 1 mottled Houdan, a d'uccle, a silkie, some serama's, a slew of different babies, a bator full of eggs (always) and ONE husband that I'm pretty sure thinks I am crazy~

I always tell my JG's by their eye color. Light brown is boy dark brown is girl. I always hope for roo's more than hens cool.png That's the way i do it.

I am interested in adding a giant or 2 to my flock but havent yet found anyone who has them up here in Maine. Anyone know of any?

Anna, momma to 4 girls, 2 dogs (gsd and a newfie), a cratchety old lovebird, a sugarglider, and a soon to be expanding flock of chickens. And wife to one amazing man!

NC, she is LOVELY!  Gosh, I'm not sure how many club members are "regular posters" but I'm sure I've seen at least ten folks say they are members.
