I will be on/off BYC. If we owe you hatching eggs, please forward us the listing information. We are almost caught up on them and do not wish to miss anyone. Geese are now laying!

hahaha... i just wish there were poultry shows and events here... i have to take a plane to compete... but i need egg layers... i can't find any quality birds out here that aren't game birds... sad...

is that LA, CA or LA/Louisianna?

They have a show in Haynesville, LA. There are also CA shows. Ask your APA/ABA state rep about shows and breeders near you.

Just seen you are in Bell Garden, CA. Hmmm.

Your APA State Rep is Jones, Robert E. 2930 Redwood Rd, Napa, CA 94558.

Your APA District Director is District 8 (AZ, CA, NM, NV, UT) Walt Leonard, Santa Rosa, CA. Walt is on BYC. Hangs out on the Official Heritage threads.

maybe i'm just being selfish... LOL... i read that some people here take planes to compete... i just don't feel like driving 4-8 hours to get to a show... people in los angeles have chickens, but they're always hatchery birds... the only breeders like i said are either game birds, silkies or seramas... i see that there are some breeders in san diego, but that's still 2 hours away... guess i'm gonna have to hurry up and build my incubator and buy some eggs... sigh...

thx for the info jim...

Hey Gumbii- we are having a San Diego meet-up again in January and most of us will have chickens there for sale. We have a lot of people that come down from LA as well. thumbsup

Jahdan, Danyelle and I were working on building the new barn for Sheba to welp in, while Brenae did the feeding chores, when Brenae started yelling, "I found an egg!"

The Buff Wyandotte Bantams have started laying!

I know we should probaly eat the egg.....but am going to set it instead!

No, I don't.  These were eggs that I had shipped to me. I'll see if the seller will send me pics of the adults.
