I'll definitely be keeping records of them.  I'm a camera fiend.  I practically sleep with one around my neck.  LOL

Okay, the last of them hatched.  Not a bad hatch rate.  9/10 from shipped eggs.

Ok I'm trying to figure out who is laying eggs as I'm getting my first eggs the last 2 days. I forgot to check on tuesday so I think its just 2 birds out of 10 at laying age that are laying. I got 4 very dark eggs last night & tonight I get 2 very light colored eggs with dark brown specks. These are very tiny eggs, they weigh in at 1.4oz. I have 3 slw, only 1 is still pinkish in the face rather then red. I also have 5 Cuckoo Marans & 2 EE but I'm pretty sure the EE's aren't laying yet. These are all hatchery standard chickens about 22 - 24wks (not sure of hatch date). Of coarse none of them want to lay when I'm in their coop smile

Why are they pinkish or red in the face?  I have a 5 month old SLW and have alot of questions about her.  She's my first one and I've noticed how her face is always red.  Also she seems very slow developing.  I'll post more later, but was curious about the face.

My love, Sookie.  I will always miss & love you.  Forever in my heart.  RIP 7/16/09 - 5/30/10

Means they are close to laying age or are laying.
