Just got back to reading here.  THANK YOU!  I was so hoping she is a girl, but didnt know how they look at this age.  So the cockeral will have more black on the chest, and the pullets have all the barring.  She is so spoiled as she hatched as a singleton.  The rest of the eggs didnt pip.  Our boy is absolutly stunning, I thank Foley's for selling him to us, and the pullets and hen.  Just wishI knew  which hen she is out of.

Thank You for replying.

Finally here are the pics of one of the chicks, some have more yellow, some have less.  You should be able to see the brown spot on the head.

Hi everyone!

I got my first wyandottes two weeks ago. They are 3 months old I think. One is Silver laced and one if a blue. They are both pretty but didnt have tails when I got them. I was wondering does anyone have any pictures of the blues they could post? I will looking through this thread to see if anyone has ever posted one.

Thanks!

I am a chicken fanatic!

    I love them all!

Along  with any animal!

I have stopped trying to post all my chickens on here because I have now come to the point where I have to many to post!!

Anyways, I have Serama eggs for sale. (Limited Availablility.)

Our Wyandottes seem to all be different from one another. Some of a thin comb and some have a very wide one. Is this normal??

I dream of a day where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned

Me and my Hubby, 2 dogs, 1 French Cuckoo Maran, 1 Barred Rock, 5 RIR's, 1 Easter Egger, 2 Leghorns, 1 Araucana, 2 Mottled Cochins, 2 Cochin Cross, 1 Frizzle, 1 Phoenix, and 1 question mark.

While this comb may not be perfect, your Wyandotte pullets/hens should have a comb that looks very close to this.  If it is slender, a single comb, then your Wyandottes have not been bred to the Standard description of a Wyandotte.  If you don't plan to show them or sell them as show birds, don't worry about it.  Just enjoy them.  If you want to show or plan to sell Wyandottes, you would need to get some that are bred to look more like the Standard of Perfection description for Wyandottes.

Do their combs turn pink really early?  My chicks are a little over three weeks old and the GLW already has a pink comb.  Is that indicative of a roo or do wyandottes generally get color early?  (My other chicks are an EE, RIR and Red Star).  I know it's still early  fl.gif  Thanks!
