Looks like I might start a LF buff columbian project next year. We have all the 'ingredients' needed to start working with them. It might be a fun little project if it goes the way I plan. Also, I picked up a few nice BLRW cockerels from a lady who got them from a local breeder as pullets. There are 3 cockerels, all 3 of them have the same type but the color is an issue with all 3. They all have deep red and all but one is almost columbian with some poor lacing on him, one has too much leakage in the hackle, and the other doesn't have much lacing, more blue than red. When the girls mature some more, I will have to match them up with the right rooster to try to balance the faults

I probably will post more over time. My plan is to keep two of the cockerels and all the pullets. The top pullets will make it to the breeding pens and the others will be layers. I've never shown a bird and have no plans to at the moment, I just want to produce the best birds I can with what I have.
