Where To Buy Chicken Feed Online!

Thread Starter

Hello,

I am going to be purchasing some chickens this year since we are finally moving in to our ranch house!  my problem is that the nearest feed store is almost 20 miles away, and Im not even sure what types of chicken feed they carry.  I want to get my chickens on either purina/nutrena foods.  Any idea where to buy either of those products online?  I am having trouble finding sellers.  Thank you!

Purina is a pretty common feed.  Shipping will be prohibitively expensive.  I would search your local area, and just plan on making a trip and getting enough to last you for several weeks or a month.

I agree that shipping will run you more than the feed itself.  My nearest feed store is also 20+ miles away but I make my treks there for people groceries anyway so I get food for both critters and us while I'm there.

If you want house chickens and ducks in diapers then this is the forum for you.
I've got 50+ years of poultry experience, but this 'poultry' forum isn't for me anymore.
If you're going to complain about farmers, don't do it with a full belly or a mouthful.

Talk with your local pet store. Normally is they carry Purina dog/cat food they can special order you chicken food from Purina. I bet it will be cheaper then getting it online and shipping it. You could also get in in bulk from the feed store and store it in bins or trash cans away from rodents.

Purina pet foods no longer have any affiliation with the livestock feeds.  Purina Pet Care is owned by Nestle with Purina Feeds is owned by the cooperative Land O'Lakes.
